City of Norway Web Site Upgrade Complete, Ready for Launch

Norway, MI—The City of Norway has launched a new, comprehensive, and accessible web site designed to enhance the public’s electronic involvement and awareness of local government issues.

“This updated web site (www.norwaymi.com) is the result of months of work to create a web presence with greater ease for navigation, more information, access to forms and budget data, tourism and economic development materials, and a thorough review of all City programs and services,” said City Manager Anderson. “We are very excited to officially launch it on April 2.”

While the current domain name stays the same, the new look and organization of the site emphasizes the community as a great place to live, work, and play in the U.P. of Michigan.

“We envision our new site as the location for up-to-date lists of Norway businesses, non-profit organizations, churches, community meetings, and activities. A key new component to the web site is the public access of our community calendar. Our goal is to have available the activities occurring in our community in one central location and we suggest to those arranging events to use the web calendar as another source to advertise.”

We encourage everyone to get on-line and become acquainted with our new web site, and then to share area photos, suggestions, and information that would be helpful to our community.
